This set of four bentwood stools was made by Hajdú Thonet in Debrecen, Hungary. A quality certificate dated 1998 is attached under one seat and names the model as Bolero. The stools have the classic Thonet café form, with a round seat, gently splayed legs and a bentwood footrest ring. They have been reupholstered in green, yellow, red and blue leather, so the set works well around a kitchen island, at a breakfast table or as extra seating in a living room.
Condition and Character **Original frames, newly reupholstered with leather seats and new foam.** The bentwood frames are in their original condition. To make them as comfortable as possible, the seats have been reupholstered with new coloured leather and fitted with new foam. The frames show light scratches and small marks from use, and one stool has a pale worn patch on the seat rim. The red leather seat shows light creasing near its edge.
