This pair of armchairs was manufactured in the 1960s by the Debreceni Hajlított Bútorgyár in Hungary. While produced in the mid-century era, the design heavily references the Art Deco aesthetic with its bold, sweeping bentwood armrests and generous, low-slung proportions.

The chairs feature a rhythmic vertical slat design on the sides, which, combined with the continuous curve of the frame, creates a striking architectural profile from every angle.

Condition & Potential
The chairs are offered in their original vintage condition, showcasing an authentic patina that tells the story of their history.

Wear & Character: There is visible fading on the fabric and wooden frames due to age. Notably, there is a hole drilled into the frame of one chair (please see the detailed photos for a close-up).

Recommendation: While the chairs remain stable and comfortable to use in their current state, they are excellent candidates for refurbishment. A new set of upholstery and a light restoration of the wood would truly bring these statement pieces back to life.

Fabric: Currently upholstered in a vintage patterned fabric with a classic mid-century color palette.
