This pair of 1960s lounge armchairs is attributed to Jaroslav Šmídek, whose work for Czechoslovak furniture producers of the period is known for compass-splayed teak legs and distinctive floating paddle armrests, both visible here. The chairs retain their original purple bouclé upholstery, giving them strong textural presence. The angular teak frames and tall, slightly reclined backrests suit a living room seating group or a reading corner, and as a pair they work well flanking a side table.

Condition and Character
**Original vintage condition with signs of use consistent with age.**
The chairs show general wear typical of the period, including surface marks to the teak frames and some fading and softening of the bouclé upholstery. Both chairs are usable as is and also form a solid base for reupholstery if a fresh look is preferred. Please review the detailed photos closely to inspect the exact cosmetic condition before purchasing.
