Original Wassily Chair by Marcel Breuer for Gavina, Italy (1960–1968)
This is an authentic Wassily chair produced by Gavina, Italy, under licence from Marcel Breuer between 1960 and 1968, before the company was acquired by Knoll. Originally designed in 1925 by the Hungarian Bauhaus master Marcel Breuer, the Wassily chair is a cornerstone of modernist design.
This particular piece features a well-preserved chrome-plated tubular steel frame with minor signs of wear consistent with age. The leather has been newly replaced using high-quality, 3.5 mm thick cognac-colored cowhide, restoring its iconic form while enhancing comfort and durability.
