This oak-framed sofa bed was made by Dřevotvar Pardubice in Czechoslovakia, dated 29.8.1967 on its original manufacturer's label. The angular, sled-footed frame and slatted base are typical of Czechoslovak mid-century seating, and the sofa opens into a daybed for occasional sleeping. Its clean lines and compact depth suit a living room or guest room.
Condition and Character **Original condition with signs of use.** The oak frame shows surface scratches consistent with age and handling, and the green wool-look upholstery shows light staining. The sofa bed mechanism is stable and usable but is not as comfortable as when new, making this a strong base for reupholstering or refurbishment. Please review the detailed photos closely to inspect the exact cosmetic condition before purchasing.
